    General Views and Attractions

Before building a Theme Park or a ride, it's good to do an artist's impression of how everything is going to look once it's done. It helps the creative and technical team to visualize the result, take many decisions and also avoid mistakes.

    Characters

Sometimes attractions and theme parks also need to have appealing characters as part of their own story and adventures. You can go along with them. This is a little selection. See more  in Character Design

    Storyboard for attractions

Some attractions follow a story. Before tackling the whole design of a ride, making a storyboard of the flow, with plates showing all stages of the ride, is a great tool. For animated parts as well.

Rides are a lot like films.  You have to know when to build the tension.

      MUSEUMS

Museum exhibitions are also a matter of design. Presentation is important.

Interactive media is becoming increasingly popular to spread knowledge in a fun way.

It all starts with a drawing.

      NATURALIS BIODIVERSITY CENTER

Winner of the European Museum of the Year 2021 Award

      DE VERLEIDING  (SEDUCTION)

      Permanent collection

The room dedicated to mating and reproduction in the natural history museum in Leiden is presented evoking some of the first European shopping malls from the beginning of the 20th century.

I  defined and designed the decorations and some of the informative items to achieve that feeling, while keeping a requested makeshift look.

Visible pencil strokes in an Art Nouveau style flow throug the whole installation.  Lamps imitate  stained glass of the time and wallpaper and illustrations keep  the naturalistic and organic feeling of the style.

As it is part of the permanent exhibition you can visit it whenever you wish.

A beautiful project to have worked on together with the fantastic team in Naturalis Biodiversity Center and Designwolf  Studio

This videomapping was on show during Christmas on the façade of the Townhall in Seville.

I designed the main character, Estrella, and the scenes related to the situations she is in, which appear like a pop-up book, giving illustrations prepared for animation.
