HAVE BRUSHES, WILL TRAVEL. Virtually speaking, wherever there's a visual need.

A Career Womble

I jumped on the Arty, Painty Carousel some years ago already (if you ask me, it feels shorter) and haven’t stopped since. I'm very happy to be working as a visual artist for all sorts of entertainment applications. I also love traditional painting. Varied projects make my work challenging, exciting and most important, fun.

In a nutshell

I studied engineering and traditional animation in Spain (no, not at the same time, and they don't transfer credits either). I worked on animation in Studios Moro, Spain, and other studios. After that, I worked on the award-winning CGI animated film Planet 51, at Ilion Animation Studios, Spain, while working as a freelance artist mainly for advertising campaigns and other feature films.

Some years ago I made the rainy and windy Netherlands my home, currently living in Den Haag with a bearded husband and two furry cats.

I help designing theme parks and attractions,  concert stages, illustrate textbooks for children, design logos, tattoos, greeting cards and apparel, create art for video-mapping, videogames, design characters and I paint portraits... And I enjoy every bit of it (except when I can't sleep because of a deadline, that's not so much fun. But that doesn't happen every time, does it? ;- )

In my free time I study things like Humanities (art history) and Psychology with the Open University (UK). So far I've done 4 modules, got 4 distinctions. Yay!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can I order an art piece?

You can make contact using the social media bubbles sticking to the edges of your screen. The one you prefer. I'll be there

If a painting is made with a computer, is it also art?

The computer is a tool, like a brush or a marker, just sometimes easier and faster to use, so the result can also be art, as it can be with a brush. *Edit: look now at all those NFTs! I told you so.

If I travel at the speed of light, do I come back younger than the ones that didn't travel that fast?

Yes, you do, time is relative, you see? You might have lost some mass on the way, which might be good for the beach. But you can also get spaghettified if you go near a black hole, and it's difficult to read or do sketches while travelling so fast.

Is it morally correct to do something bad to achieve something good?
That is a frequently asked phylosophical question that humans have been trying to answer. For now it depends on how much you agree with utilitarianism and/or Machiavelli.

Do you use cookies?

Yes, I eat them, especially if they have chocolate chips.

Why are these questions in the FAQ so random?

I wonder to myself... but please ask if you have any other question. I might include it here.
